Can Sisó is a Bike Friendly home, ideal for families and groups who love sport and nature. From the property itself, routes begin for cycling, motorbiking, or driving, crossing the landscapes of the Pla de l’Estany, La Garrotxa, and l’Empordà. In just 30 minutes, you can reach both the beaches of the Costa Brava and the volcanoes of Olot or the Fageda d’en Jordà forest.

A short walk away lies the historic village of Crespià, home to around 200 inhabitants and a timeless rural charm. Nearby, a wide range of cultural and natural attractions await: the Dalí Museum in Figueres, the Girona Theatre, the Toy Museum, Banyoles with its famous lake, Santa Pau, and Perpignan, just 45 minutes away.

We are a painter and a musician, two people brought together by a passion for creativity, attention to detail and living in connection with nature. At Can Sisó, art and calm are part of everyday life—from the colours on the walls to the soft music and the peaceful atmosphere in every corner.

We live in a carefully restored Catalan masia, located between the green landscapes of the Pla de l’Estany and the quiet surroundings of Crespià. We enjoy welcoming guests because every stay is different. More than just accommodation, Can Sisó is a home with soul, where we hope you’ll feel at home, even if only for a few days.

Common Areas & Services

Its charm begins on the road that leads there, surrounded by fields and forests, until you reach the estate, where stone, wood and light create a warm and harmonious atmosphere. Inside, each space is designed with simplicity and good taste, inviting calm and well-being.

Meals

Each morning begins with a complete breakfast buffet served in the dining room or out on the terrace when the weather is kind. There is cold cuts, different types of bread, orange juice, coffee, tea, milk, pastries, jams and fresh fruit. It is unhurried, bright with morning light through the windows, and accompanied by the soft song of birds from the garden.

In the evening, you can request home-style dinners, served in the main dining room by the traditional fireplace. In winter, the fire becomes the heart of the house, drawing people to linger and talk; in summer, dinner naturally moves out into the garden, where lanterns glow and the air is scented with grass and warm stone.

Interiors

Inside, the atmosphere is warm and unpretentious. Stone walls and wooden beams host a sequence of shared lounges designed for different moments of the day. The main living room has generous sofas and a large TV for winding down after an excursion. A quieter reading room invites you to pause, open a book or talk softly with a tea. In between, small nooks and alcoves display paintings, music scores and objects with a story, reflecting the home’s artistic spirit and the personality of its hosts — Olga, a painter, and Llorenç, a music lover who care for details with kind discretion.

Exteriors

Step outside and the private garden opens as a calm, generous space. There are shaded areas for long conversations, tables for open-air breakfasts, and a sun terrace with loungers where time seems to stretch. The swimming pool, bordered by lawn and countryside, is one of the most beloved places: perfect for cooling off after a morning walk, for a lazy afternoon with your feet in the water, or for watching the sky turn pink at dusk. Privacy is carefully respected; the property offers plenty of corners where each guest can find their own rhythm, together or quietly apart.

For those who like to move, Can Sisó offers a basketball half-court, a ping-pong table, and open spaces suitable for yoga or stretching. Travelers on two wheels will find a thoughtful setup: a secure bike storage area, a charging point for e-bikes, and basic tools for quick adjustments.

Environment

From the gate, quiet country roads lead to the scenic routes of the Pla de l’Estany, Garrotxa and Empordà, making day rides a pleasure whether you prefer gentle rolling terrain or something more demanding. If you choose to explore by car or motorbike, you can reach the Costa Brava beaches, Lake Banyoles, the Olot volcanoes and the beech forest of Fageda d’en Jordà in around 30 minutes.
